In view of the increased demand for offshore oil and gas operations, Saba shall deploy the Drillship Deep Venture for drilling, WOs, P&As, and other drilling support activities.
Deep Venture is designed for offshore drilling to well depths up to 7000 meters at water depths of 90 – 1500 meters. Able to stay at well locations via a Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning System (DP-2), the drillship has a helideck and a superstructure with extended-term living accommodations for the crew.
Deep Venture is in excellent technical condition, and has been carefully maintained during the warm stack period.
Deep Venture is equipped for safe and efficient operations. Handling of risers and slip joints are safer as Deep Venture is equipped with grantry crane and riser trolly, in comparison to semi-subs where handling would be done by rig cranes.
$35 Million of upgrades made to Deep Venture in 2015 have led to improved operational performance.
Deep Venture has achieved a 98% Working Time efficiency in its operations.
