Health, Safety, and Environment Management is a core responsibility for Saba, and we adhere to international standards for HSE management.
Our approach to operational HSE Management is based in prevention, with our goals being no injury to people, no loss of property, and no harm to the environment.
Saba’s commitment to high HSE standards is held by all our employees on a personal basis, from top management down throughout the company. With this commitment as our guiding principle, we operate with high morale and confidence in our operations.

Our management system is a set of integrated and consistent standards, processes, and procedures that enable continuous improvement and increase positive business results by reducing risk, enhancing safety and reliability, fostering regulatory compliance, and improving environmental performance. This set of processes, implemented with accountability, guides us in our delivery of operational excellence.
Having DNV-GL, one of the leading technical advisors to the global oil and gas industry, as our certification authority, adds experience and best practices to our management system. Our certification scope is “Provision of offshore and onshore drilling and workover services to energy sector”.
As part of our commitment to provide a globally accepted standard of drilling operations, Saba has joined both The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). We thus benefit from shared best practices , particularly in the areas of health, safety, environment, quality, and efficiency. To guarantee that our offshore units can operate safely, securely and responsibly, we have chosen a recognised classification society. Classification requires periodic surveys of the classed offshore unit throughout its life in order to assure compliance to designated standards which promote the security of life and property while preserving the natural environment.
